A devotee and lifelong student of yoga, Laura's journey into the practice began in 1999 at the Piedmont Yoga Studio. However, her connection to yoga runs deeper than a mere physical discipline; it became her sanctuary, a profound means of healing from the trauma of her physical, mental, and emotional childhood abuse. It was within the serene confines of the yoga studio that Laura—for the first time—felt truly seen, loved, and accepted just as she is. This transformative experience ignited her passion for yoga as a vehicle for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Hailing from Oakland, where she was born and raised, Laura's path initially led her to the University of Southern California, where she delved into the world of film. Yet, throughout her life, movement and physical expression have been constants, from her early studies in jazz, tap, ballet dance, and musical theater to her later foray into marathon running.

After a 30-year career in event management left her feeling burnt out, anxious, and overwhelmed, Laura made the courageous decision in 2021 to embark on a new path—one that aligned with her deepest passions and offered true fulfillment—and set out to become a yoga teacher.

As a teacher, Laura's approach is imbued with an intention of healing and recovery, her message rooted in love, and her mission centered on creating a safe and inclusive space for all individuals, regardless of ability or background. Forever grateful for and driven by the profound impact the practice has on her transformative journey, Laura is dedicated to sharing its gifts with others, guiding them on their own paths toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.
